PepperBall announced today plans to support continued growth by consolidating all manufacturing near its headquarters in Lake County, IL. The plan includes investing in a new state-of-the-art 15,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Waukegan, IL. and winding down an older PepperBall production facility in Fort Wayne, IN. The new plant adds to the PepperBall footprint in Lake County, including manufacturing and headquarters facilities in Lake Forest, IL.
Consolidating all manufacturing in the greater Lake County region will enable PepperBall to leverage existing investments in staff and resources, including research and development, and will give it access to faster, more efficient distribution infrastructure. Implementation is expected later this summer. This operational realignment strengthens the company’s ability to scale production to meet growing global demand, improve manufacturing efficiency and consistency, and maintain quality and reliability standards.
“As more law enforcement agencies in the US and abroad are experiencing the benefits of de-escalating potentially violent situations with non-lethal tools, we’ve seen a significant increase in demand for PepperBall systems,” said PepperBall CEO, Bob Plaschke. “While we are grateful to the Fort Wayne community and the role they have played, bringing together the manufacturing of both projectiles and launcher systems is critical in keeping up with demand and will enable us to accelerate innovation.”
