PepperBall announced its support for the National Fallen Officer Foundation (National FOF). A co-promotional fundraising program will kick-off at the end of December and will support the families of police officers killed in the line of duty with a campaign that will run through January 19, culminating in a check presentation at Shot Show 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
PepperBall will raise funds for the non-profit police-support organization through a special, limited-time-offer, pepper-inspired donut sale. Every box of delicious and spicy donuts purchased online at PepperDonuts.com will raise funds for the National FOF. The intriguing pepper and capsaicin-derived donut flavors are inspired by PepperBall’s own newest projectile innovation: LIVE MAXX, a highly-effective super bio-available-PAVA filled projectile manufactured with a new, proprietary process. And while the fundraising donuts themselves do not contain any PAVA whatsoever, they are loaded with charity and goodness.
“We’re proud to offer a complete non-lethal solution designed to save lives and give law enforcement officials options to be safer, better equipped and ready for the unexpected,” said Bob Plaschke, CEO of PepperBall and United Tactical Systems. “Now, we’re excited to create an original program that helps raise funds for fallen officers’ families, and to do it in a way that invites a wider audience to a conversation worth having.”
Available online, the fundraising donuts will be sold as half-dozen and one-dozen orders containing a mix of two original flavors. The Chili Mango is a cake-based donut that features a spicy bite of habanero and a sweet mango fruit finish. The Mexican Hot Chocolate donut option is a spicy Aztec chocolate recipe with a subtle mix of ancho and chipotle peppers that bring a touch of warmth. Donations will be accepted as donut orders on PepperDonuts.com through January 21 at the $50 (half-dozen) and $100 (dozen) donation levels.
“The nation’s law enforcement community faces new challenges every day and we’re excited to partner with PepperBall in raising awareness and funds for our fallen officers,” said Sergeant Demetrick Pennie, President and Executive Director of the National Fallen Officer Foundation.
PepperBall provides powerful, effective protection that helps law enforcement officers have a safe, non-lethal option for de-escalation in day-to-day policing encounters, crowd control situations and tactical efforts. PepperBall will bring its National FOF fundraising campaign to SHOT Show, the industry's largest dedicated exhibit for law enforcement, armed forces, SWAT and private security where its booth will feature another unique creation - a Spicy Strawberry-Lime Ghost Pepper Donut, available free to all booth attendees on January 18.
